Another one for the wishlist
I saw this today. It's beautiful.
Can I just admit this now? I learned Hardanger so that I could do Victoria Sampler patterns.
And, yet, I have yet to actually stitch any of the ones I have. I look at them quite frequently with looks of love, knowing that my life would not be so rich and complete if they were not in my sewing room, waiting for their turn to shine. They just intimidate me--maybe it's the cost of the threads?
And I want this. It's gorgeous. It's a Christmas carol, and I love anything Christmas carol-y. I guess this is going on my wishlist.

That is beautiful. I have admired that one too. But the hardanger intimidates me to no end.
I know what you mean ... Thea does beautiful designs ... but I still haven't finished my class pieces from the 2007 Stitcher's Hideaway that she taught. I am making a promise to myself that 2010 will be the Year of UFOs just as 2009 was the Year of Sewing Finishes. Most of my UFOs are class pieces. If I pull out one a month and seriously focus on it, I should clear up all of my old class pieces by September and still have some time for a few smalls each month. Since my wrought iron tree in the entry is very well dressed for Halloween and Christmas, in 2010 I am going to concentrate on making more Fall and Thanksgiving ornaments for the in between weeks.
That's a beautiful piece. But quite an undertaking. I won't touch Hardanger, but since you learned to do it especially for these samplers, you might as well give it a go. I don't think I'd buy another til I got a good ways into one that I already owned though! -;)
I love those kits but I don't know hardanger ...
I agree, very lovely although the embellishment pack will be a small fortune :o(
This is a beautiful design! I have no idea how to do hardanger but would love to learn. Maybe if I can make it to a retreat, that will be the class I take. Otherwise...way to scared to even try.
Beautiful design but I am just not brave enough to attempt hardanger.
That is one I have been oogling.
And to everyone Hardanger is not hard to do, Honestly!!!
I have a couple of her designs, too. I've only stitched one... a freebie that I made into an ornament.
