Ornaments #6 and #7 are complete!

My photographic skills may start improving soon, since I finally got so frustrated with the flash that I sat down and read the manual. What a difference it makes. Whoda thunk?

Anyway, I promised pictures of the ornament finishes from the weekend. I'm going to try to finish-finish these this weekend. Fingers are crossed.

This is Fresh-fallen Snow. It took a lot longer than I expected, but I think the finish is worth the extra work.

And here is JBW, Love and Joy. I used the recommended threads on Monaco. It's a very simple finish, but I think it is so fresh and pretty.

I think the next ornament I do from the issue will be one of the ones that intimidates me. I don't want to leave the difficult ornaments til the end of the year, because I won't do them then, and that would be quite the bummer.

Can you believe how fast January went? I can't believe I'll be starting th February Itty Bitty Kitty square on Wednesday. It seems like I was just starting it last week, now it's time for the next one.

The ornaments are lovely. You are absolutely right about Love and Joy being so fresh and tidy looking. And, of course, Fresh Fallen Snow is charming. I am very curious to see your next "difficult" ornament start! I'll be doing a very unofficial finishing SAL with you this weekend since I have two ornaments requiring a sewing and assembly finish [the theatre from our Town Square SAL and a CEC mitten ornament]. I was pleased to read in a recent post that you found the Ice Dragon chart. I have been working diligently on my Tracery Dragons, as long as you don't count yesterday - not a stitch taken all day. And today is likely to be more of the same. My program assistant has been out the past week and will be out this week, recuperating from surgery. I have told her this absence has really opened my eyes to how very much I depend on her but I also told her, quite selflessly and bravely :>), to take as much time as she needed for a full recovery. I am just praying she is a quick healer!

It always surprises me how long those seemingly "quick to stitch" ornaments can take... I really love them both, Rachel!

Yes, this year is speeding by way too quickly--looking forward to seeing your February kitty finish!

I know! The time is going by so fast. I get to work on my Halloween Rules SAL tomorrow ;o)

I just stretched Fresh Fallen Snow for a customer Rachel. Very cute design. She's framing it though instead of making it an ornament. Anyway, love your finishes!

I find it hard to believe January is gone too. But that brings spring that much closer and I can't wait!!

Have a great day!

Love those ornaments. Your stitching looks great!

I do my thing and you do yours. I am not in this world to live up to your expectations, and you are not in this world to live up to mine. You are you and I am I, and if by chance we find each other, then it is beautiful. If not, it can’t be helped--Frederick Perls
