My Little Progress

I've been working on this pretty steady this week. I decided to customize it a bit to make it match my 2010 a little better, so moved November into May's position. This is in memory of that fun weekend at the GTG, with the friends I reconnected with and the new friends made. This means I'll need to shimmy around with the fall months, but I think it will work out just fine. If not, it's just going on my wall. It's a work of pleasure, not something to stress over.

Otherwise, not much is going on around here. It's colder than blue blazes in Crazyville this week. No snow, but you'd be hard-pressed to think it couldn't when the wind picks up. We're heading out on Saturday to cut down our live tree--Left-brain has promised that we won't get a skyscraper tree this year. I am still dubious; I have heard this before and then he gets out in the field and it's like he forgets we have these conversations. I'm hopeful, though, since he's kinda tired of moving the china cupboard and dining room table around to fit the tree. I promise not to fuss if he veers off "the plan." It's a great day out with the family, and we make memories.

I got my prize from The Sampler Girl's raffle--a very sweet ornament for the tree. I will put it up when we finish decorating. It has been a good stitchy mail week--some Ebay winnings came in, along with a large order from 123Stitch. I was in a Christmas stitching mood this time because I ordered Butternut Road "Christmas Visit", Pickle Barrel Designs, "Cape Cod Christmas," Little Leaf Designs "Christmas Day," and two Christmas charts by "Of Generations Past, "To hear the angels sing," and "Christmas Lighthouse." It was a splurge, but this is my gift to myself for getting through this year, mainly intact, LOL. I won't stitch them this year, but they're here for next year.

I hope that this holiday season is providing you with a bit of magic and joy as we roll along. Til next time . . .

Your SAL piece is looking great. That one sure has been popular with stitches this year.

And yes, you certainly deserve to buy a boatload of stash to pamper yourself!

Very nice! And it's neat you're personalizing it to fit you.

I do my thing and you do yours. I am not in this world to live up to your expectations, and you are not in this world to live up to mine. You are you and I am I, and if by chance we find each other, then it is beautiful. If not, it can’t be helped--Frederick Perls
