I finished Midnight just now. It took a bit longer than I expected, but I like him! I don't know if this huck towel feels finished, though. It needs some writing at the top or something. Or else I won't be using any more of these for these, and will use the ones with the thin band, and use the huck towels for something else.
And this is my progress on Summer Ball. It's slowly moving forward. The main girl's face is done now, and there is more floor, plus, let us not forget Seth Rogan's head, all the way over there on the right. I'll get it finished. One of these days . . .

Summer Ball is looking great.
I use huck towels all the time and find that pieces look more "finished" if I add a little border to the design. Of course, I have always done square or rectangular designs on my towels so it has always been easy to add a simple checkerboard, zig-zag or parallel line border. But if you follow the arch of your design and simply outline it with stitches in three or more rows of "framing" colors with the outermost and innermost being a dark color and the row[s] in between picking up colors in the design ... it might work nicely for you. Of course, it does add stitching time to each piece but the result may be worth it.
The kitty is another cutie. And Summer Ball is such a beautiful design. I think I wouldn't be able to stitch anything else til I finished it.
